RACIST!!!
Let me say first, I did not listen to the whole album. About halfway through the extremely racist track entitled "America," I chucked this CD out my window, if he doesn't need white people to buy his music like he said on this track, I decided I was through with Nas, and did not even want this CD in my car.
I was hesitant in buying this CD because of its proposed title. I asked the clerk at the music store what he thought of this CD and he told me it was a good album worth purchasing even for a white person. Since I have always liked Nas' music and I greatly respect his ability as an MC I went ahead and bought it. Although I have listened to his music for years, at times Nas' music made me feel as if he did not want me to listen to it, this album confirmed this for me and I will never listen Nas again, obviously he does not make music for me.
Nas really needs to get over himself, if it wasn't for white people like me that buy his music he would not be anything. Slavery and mistreatment of African-Americans is a somber part of American history, but Nas was not around for any of that. The "white devil" has really made it hard on Nas by buying his music and making him a millionaire, he should love America because if he expressed his radical views in a number of other countries it would not be allowed, and he would be considered a criminal.

Anti-American. Expected a lot more.
Nas really fell off. He went the political route and it his album flopped because of it, good. He actually rhymes about burning the American flag. He could not have the success he has if it was not for America. Truly racist album. Never saw an artist fall off so bad from his first album (Illmatic is a classic). Nas you owe me twelve dollars. 2008-08-14

im ridin with nas
This album is nas most conscious body of work, if you're truely a nas fan then you might've seen a album like this coming. His 2004 lp Street's Disciple gave you a glimpse into what is displayed on his new untitled release. This new album provoke different kind of emotions so, some listners may feel alienated, empowered, enlighten, uncomfortable etc. But handling a serious matter is bound to face all undermining criticism good or bad. The album starts off strong with the song "Queens Get The Money" Nas doing what he does best as he spits over a sinister piano loop while taking quick jabs at 50 Cent. This first track is classic Nas he sounds hungrier than the day he began with lines like "Still hatin/ talkin bout Nas fell off wit rhymmin/ he rather floss wit diamonds". The following track is "You Can't Stop Us Now" nas rap about historic issues and weighs in little light confronting the n word,it's a short song with two decent verses. "Breathe" is the third track not really my favorite but it adds well to the album. The next track is controversial amongst nas fans which guest features the game and surprisingly Chris Brown who nas hails as "the new young prince and mike jack" rightfully so. With the appearance of chris brown on the song " We Make The World Go Round" it's surprisingly good it sounds a little pop and something you'll expect to be nonexistant on a album like this, but it's good for a classic head nod and 1,2 step.nas remains flashy and grown on the hit track "Hero" which became my favorite track also produced by future hitmaking polow da don.The drums is bangin' this is the album's highlighted produced track. nas spit fierce and the last verse is a hip hop quotable must for The Source magazine. " America" is a good song although the hook is a little annoying nas talks about injustice, dicriminaton and hippocracy, and challenge listners to not sleep but be aware of whats going on. On "Sly Fox" nas takes a stand against the wicked media Fox News and expose their deceptive tactics. I reccomend seeing the music video on youtube, the song has a rock feel but the message is powerful "watch what you're watching.... media misleading ya". "Testify" is a heartful song where nas challenges hip hop fans in safe surburbia and test their hearts , nas plays with the dynnamic for those who may feels he's irresponsibe or irrational. "N.I.**ER" is my favorite song the music sounds cinematic and beautiul produced by DJ toomp the guy who produced T.I. hit "What you know". It's a positive and uplifting song about blacks history, struggle and plight something thats rarely mentioned much. nas shows how black history is important and how were not primitive people. On the track "Untitled" nas speaks about being a revolutionary with his life on the line. The beat is good and theres a man in the beginning speaking about Minnister Farrakhuan makes it work. "Fried Chicken" is another song where nas show his creativity assissted by busta rhymes they talk about eating unhealthy and diabetes which is a health scare in the black community. The idea plays with the stereotypes about blacks love over fried chicken and ignorance of not eating right. "Project roach" is little humor of nas rapping as a filfty ghetto insect toying with ignorance in its most digusting form over a solid jazzy beat. "Ya'll My Ni**as" is a good produced record talking about simply what the album is centered round of course the n word. "Were Not Alone" nas weirdly mention ufos still a good track and he spit about a guy named ivan sertima who you should google he has alot of historic untold facts about black inven tors. And the last track is "Black President" could've been produced better but it's still worth listening to. nas lends us his rap/poetic genuis over many years in rap i think he got alot off his chest and i got alot off mines too by writing this review. You need to cop this if you're a fan, music lover, poetry lover, lyric lover. Just open your mind and let nas open the topic discusion for a word thats so serious he dedicated his time and effort to tackle it since it's used alot in entertainment, public and behind closed doors. 2008-08-14

I bought this item on Amazon because the ad said I would receive a bonus track but it was no different than the one purchased at the store. :( 2008-08-13

Instant Classic
I've been a Nas fan from the start and anyone who has something bad to say about this album doesn't really know anything about music. Haven't you people figured out how Nas does things? He never uses beats that drown out his lyrics or his message. He wants you to focus and listen to what he has to say and not jump around like a bunch of idiots as you do with other artists who supply crazy beats but aren't really saying anything. So I'm tired of hearing people say oh the beats are whack. Are you serious? This is some of the best production you can get on an album. If you find the beats boring you need to sign up and take the closest music class in your area because this album gives you beats with emotion beats that makes you feel and bob you head. What do you people need party track type beats everytime to even make you listen to music. Thats the problem with people today their minds are lazy and they have short attention spans. The beats are not the most important thing in hip hop. It never was. When hip hop first started it was about how you can move people with words. I guess you people can't concentrate enough to listen to a person spit about real life and topics with meaning. The beats on America, N****R, Breathe, Project Roach, Hero, We're NOT Alone are all crazy. Listen to how all those samples and instruments are put together and again I say to people who hate the beats, are you serious?
Like I said I've been a Nas fan since he came out and I have all his albums. This is one of the best. I have Illmatic, Stillmatic, Lost Tapes and this one Untitled in my top 4 but I do think that this album has the most messages out of all his albums. "I WAS THINKING A LITTLE BIT, WHAT WOULD IT TAKE TO ALTHENTICATE MY N*****NESS. BALL RIDICULOUS, 26 INCHES WHEN I CALL UP THE DEALERSHIP, ALL THATS SOME N****R S**T. That line is crazy. This album is the pinnacle of lyricsm and the definition of what hip hop is. I wish more people would take the time out to make concept albums like this. Nas is the best MC point blank period. If you don't have it already buy the album you'll be doing yourself a big favor.
