Tha Carter III [Explicit]

I was completely satisfied with the CD, Tha Carter III by Lil'Wayne. I purchased it for my daughter, she was ecstatic. Amazon is the BEST by far.

I got the hype for Carter II, but everything after that, including this...the hype is somewhat mind-boggling to me as he's never able to live up to it. He picks great producers (see: "A Milli," "Comfortable," "Mr. Carter"), but I can't help but get the feeling he just wasn't trying with his flow anymore. People are like "oh, that's what makes it interesting and awesome!" I say...no, he recorded this all drunk and high in one take. For real. Not to mention for every nice punchline he makes there are also really stupid ones: "my back, my neck / isn't it weird how that song isn't old yet?"

I was never a huge fan of Lil Wayne and until now, never bought any of his albums. Hell, I was never a fan of Southern rap/hip-hop in general; I hated all of it. But I was pleasantly surprised by this album. I had no idea that Lil Wayne was so clever and, dare I say, maybe intelligent?!?; his lyrics have me thinking and putting 2 and 2 together.

Besides some of the unnecessary cursing (but hey, my mouth is a potty too) and talk about killing somebody's grandma and baby (hence my 4-star rating), this album is a good one. I listen to it almost every day.

well where should i start..umm lil wayne is the most overRated rapper ever, and this album carter 3 proves my point, there is only like 3 maybe 4 good songs on here, and they are 1.you aint got nuthin on me 2. A Milli 3. lollipop...and well "dont get it" would have been a good one but he talks for about 7 min at the end of the song. i have no idea why people why people like him so much, like he may make a great song or two every 4 albums, and everybody wants to have all this fuss about him selling a million records in a week, plz it has been done before, it might be a big deal for lil wayne because hes been rapping since he was 14 and its a big deal for a bubble gum rapper(lil wayne)...plz come on people, lil wyane has been rapping since he was 14 damn he must be terrible, only one hit record which is also a peice of crap too....eminem hasnt been in the game that long but he has sold over 70 million records worldwide, lil wayne(which who has been around since he was 14)sold less than 10 million records worldwide...now whoes better!!....ohh by the wayne eminem sold 1.76 million for his second mayjor album in a week(the marshall mathers lp) and the eminem show sold over a mill in a week..lil wayne is a peice of crap compared to eminem...i respect lil wyane, nd do like some of his music, so thats why he does get at least two stars nd not one, i just wish people would stop going crazy over him and make hime biger than he really is...

Lil Wayne, while talented, is by far the most overrated rapper out there today. This album is his worst to date. Get Tha Carter or Tha Carter II instead.

Also who writes these editorial reviews? Lil Wayne is "unquestionably" the "greatest" rapper of his generation? Which generation is that and is he really better than Eminem? I don't think so.
