Simply Amazing
This album is nothing short of beautiful! Ananis' songwriting has only gotten better over the years. Every track is unique, philisophical, and makes you think. I especially love 'Not as We', 'Straight Jacket', 'Torch' (amazing and actually very sad), and 'Incomplete'. Again, this release was worth waiting for...can't seem to stop listening to it. 2008-06-27

Myriad Flavors of Entanglement
Review of Alanis Morrisette - Flavors of Entanglement CD
I found this CD a little hard to listen to at first, but it does grow on you the more times you play it.
Alanis has grown-up musically in her new album entitled Flavors of Entanglement.
The transformation of the artist is self-evident in this new album of hers. Some people think of her as the rocker-chick but this album shows her diversity, depth and growth as an artist.
There are certainly a myriad of layers and "entanglement of flavors" which nourish one's cultural musical soul.
I had to skip a couple of the tracks, but those I listen to are truly great and representative of Alanis's growth as a contemporary artist. Give her a chance.

Flavors of "Enlightenment"- Buy it
Alanis' new CD Flavors of Entanglement has been long awaited, at least by me. It follows the spiritual/philosophical progression of her recent albums. In this album Alanis' songs are much less angry (although there are still a good handful of dark songs on there) than her earlier material, and more about achieving some sense of internal peace. I
personally prefer her more upbeat sound so my two favorites are "Giggling Again for No Reason" and "Incomplete". Another song that intrigued me was "In Praise of the Vulnerable Man". I think it's interesting to listen to the evolution in feministic attitude toward men since her first album. From the familiarly angry "You Oughta Know", to "A Man" on Under Rug Swept that shows the male side of the story, "In Praise" shows a more supportive, enlightened feministic slant. Her literally poetic lyrics are
still present in all the songs as well as her movement toward inner enlightenment and a wordly consciousness. What I love about Alanis' albums is that you can connect and learn from the messages in her songs.
While I had more trouble connecting to her need for a buddhist-like awareness, I can appreciate what can be gained from listening. There's a good mix of dark, light, and slow songs on this album. So if you're a
fan of her last two, I would recommend purchasing this one as well.

Awsome CD
Well guys Alanis has done it again! Everyone is still singing Jagged Little Pill over 10 years later. This cd will in time be the same way! It is a little different but in the same respect a great cd. I recommend this to anyone whether you are an Alanis fan or not. 2008-06-25

Not the Normal Alannis Album
Alannis has moved into the realm of techno and dance with several of the songs featured on her new album. There are also a few ballads that one can only assume were inspired by her ex-fiance are relatively pleasant and not reminiscent of Jagged Little Pill. As Alannis has grown and matured, so has her music. This is a must have album. 2008-06-25
