I'm only 28, but growing up, my dad helped me develop an interest in what is truly some of the greatest music ever made, and Sam Cooke was a frequent favorite around the house, in the car, or wherever. I'll bet if he was still alive today, he'd be just as big as he was in the 50s & 60s. It's hard to pick any one song as the greatest Sam Cooke song, but here are what I think are his 10 most crowning achievements.

This music was before my time, so I didn't realize he did all these songs I've heard over the years. All of them are really good and my least favorite grow on you the more you listen. Amazing talent. So glad I bought it!

Sam Cooke was a very gifted singer; he could sing any kind of song and lyrics. Just hear him sing, "You Send Me", and then "A Change Is Gonna Come", to know what I mean.

This cd brought back all the memories of what a great singer Sam Cooke was.

If you like Sam Cooke you will love this CD. It is packed full of Sam Cooke classics and a few odd tracks. This is one of those CD's you can listen to from start to finish without skipping tracks (some of that has to do with the fact it's a compilation). 30 songs are on this including by not limited to: Cupid, chain gang, sugar dumpling, twistin the night away, only sixteen, and you send me. Just writing about it makes me want to jump out of my seat and put it in the CD player. This is a good purchase for anyone who does not own a Sam Cooke CD. This is a great place to start.
