Led Zepplin Mothership
I love Led Zepplin and this package has all the great songs rolled into 2 cd's along with footage from their concerts. Anyone who is a Led Zepplin fan, this is a must for their library

2007 remaster versus previous remaster
I know the songs, i have listened to them back to back in a good audio rig, the new against the nineties remasters, and really i do not hear THAT great difference spelled in other articles.
Indeed certain frecuences were leveled in this 2007 job, but the old remasters sound very very well. My recommendation - buy the complete studio works box, the old live The song remains the same -read my review about the brutal trimming Jimmy did on majestic songs. -, and How the west was won.
Also, Page declared remixing the instrument and voice tracks would take ages in the studio. There was no remixing as mentioned somewhere else.

Outstanding
I bought this for my 12 year old son as a sampler album. It is a great starter for someone just getting hooked on Led Zeppelin. It is missing a few of my favorites but my son loves it. Plus, I don't mind if he turns this one up.

You must buy this, regardless of price. At this price...
It is your moral obligation to buy everything they recorded (Especially Zep II, IV, I and III in that order, but this is an extraordinary recording with amazing production values. So if you really (honestly) can only afford one...

All aboard the Mothership!
Led Zeppelin's 'Mothership' compilation is really cool. Jimmy Page and everybody at Atlantic and Rhino did a splendid job remastering songs from Zep's catalog, and the result was the two CD 'Mothership.'

Almost all of Zep's hits are here. 'Kashmir,' 'Stairway To Heaven,' 'Ramble On,' 'Immigrant Song,' 'Over The Hills And Far Away,' and 'Houses Of The Holy' all appear on this two CD set. And the sound quality is worth the price of the album alone. It's so crisp and clean. Anything less than five stars is, well, wrong.

But I do have some complaints. Why didn't Page and company include anything from the 'Coda' record? Ugh! 'Early Days and Latter Days' had the same problem. That means no 'Darlene,' 'Poor Tom' or 'We're Gonna Groove,' which are, in my opinion, three of Zep's finest songs.

And, why isn't 'Living Loving Maid,' 'Sick Again' or 'The Battle Of Evermore' on here?

And the packaging sucks. Why didn't they at least put a protective sleeve on? Without that, the CDs get surface scratches, which is very irritating.

Overall, buy it because of the superb sound. It's just incredible. Highly recommended for any Zep fan. ENJOY!!!
