This CD is one of his best. This is actually my 2nd time replacing the CD. The first one was "borrowed" from me, without my knowledge and the second one mysteriously dissapeared from my car. I tell you, it's a hot commodity. I plan to hold on to this one though. This is the first of the 17 Bob Marley CD's I own and I would definitely replace it again if I had to.

This CD features all of Bob Marley's best known songs. This is classic stuff. If you are new to reggae, this is the first album you should get. Then, if you like it (and I don't see why you wouldn't), you can delve further into the Bob Marley catalogue.

Excellent compilation of Bob Marley's best work. Soothing reggae rhythms and beats combined with touching vocals by Bob and the background vocalists. The guitar and keyboard solos are extremely well defined.

Some tunes have a political message and others are more sweet and gentle. Three Little Birds and One Love/People Get Ready will have you in a great mood all day while Get Up Stand Up and I Shot The Sheriff will have you in the mood to fight your oppressors. And Jamming is just the ideal party tune.

A super introduction to reggae music.

This man WAS a legend. His music touched millions. He laid the groundwork for a lot of ska and reggae existing today, surviving an assination attempt and a country filled with unrest and confusion in the process. It truly was inspiring. His passing in 1981 was both tragic and untimely. Legend is a Best Of-album of sorts. It has a lot of his radio singles, his big hits, and a few treasures. Recommended to all fans of music, Jamaican music or otherwise. A stepping-stone into eventually collecting all of of his amazing work.

Truly it is: "...the heart and soul of the Jamaican people packed into one five-inch compact disc..."

Bob Marley's spirit lives on in his music.

Why bother reviewing this album, im sure theres very few people on this planet who dont know it.
This best of, is possibly the best best of which has ever been put together, it really is a superb collection of Bob Marley and you juat can fault the inclusion of any track. flawless, maybe i shot the sheriiff feels slighly naff after annialtion by eric clapton, but we will let that one slide.
I just have so many memories associated with this CD that its impossible to be unbiased in a review.

This is the best way to start getting into mr Marley, then dig deeper and deeper uncovering all the gems on other lesser known Cds
