Hairspray - Soundtrack To The Motion Picture

I have this CD and I LOVE it.The songs are very upbeat and catchy.I listen to the songs all the time now.There are very talented cast members including Zac Efron,Queen Latifia,and even John Travolta.There are even 3 songs that arent on the movie.If you want a good musical soundtrack you should deffinately get this one or if you are on the fence about buying this please do so.:-)

I loved the original movie Hairspray and loved its soundtrack--Two Thumbs up for the wonderful Rachel Sweet's title track. So, I was very iffy about the musical and then the movie version of the musical. Fortunately, I gave it a chance and absolutely love the musical movie version. Nikki Blonsky is one of the best new talents of the last ten years. And while I enjoy John Travolta's contributions to the soundtrack, he almost ruined the movie for me. Who had the bright idea to cast him as heir to Divine and Harvey Fierstein?? ICK

I purchased this after I saw the movie. It's great to have a recording of all the songs from the movie (plus some extras). While some of the songs are definitely better than others, this is one soundtrack that I can listen to the whole way through. Inclusion of the lyrics is always a bonus. I also enjoyed the exclusive website you can visit.

The best film of all times has a soundtrack that is almost as good. Run to the store and get it!
The new songs "The New Girl in Town" and "The Ladies' Choice" are what this musical lacked on Broadway, now it's officially perfect.

This soundtrack is totally awesome. I love the new songs that were included just for this soundtrack. There is an amazing group of people that joined the cast and they worked hard on it. It really pays off. I really like that they included some of the oringal sounds from the broadway version into this. I give 5 plus stars. People should go out and buy this wonderful music.
