I only liked about half the songs
I am a sucker for a great remake of Beatles music, like, the I Am Sam soundtrack. But I was very disappointed when I really only liked about half the songs. Might be best to buy just the song you like.

Soul Food for Beatles Fans
I often find myself missing music by the Beatles, and I think it is because there are so few good or innovative covers of classic songs. This album solved the problem for me. Dana Fuchs and Jim Studrgess in particular have voices that bring joy to listening to these long-familiar songs. Long overdue!

Waves of Joy
The first single-disc edition of the soundtrack had 16 tracks, 6 from the first deluxe disc and 10 from the second. This is an extremely engaging soundtrack for those who saw the film and love the Beatles' music. Joe Cocker's version of "Come Together" blasts relentlessly with his vocal swagger putting an emotional payload on Lennon's obscure lyric, "He wear no shoe shine, he got toe jam football, he got monkey finger, he shoot coca cola." Evan Rachel Wood sounds like she's having a blast on "It Won't Be Long." She makes it sound fresh, "Since you left me, I'm so alone; Now you're coming on home." T.V. Caprio's "I Want to Hold Your Hand" aches emotionally with the familiar throbbing bass line putting a chronic smile on my face. The Dana Fuchs Band with Rachel Evan Wood does my favorite track on the CD, the breezy "Because" with gorgeous vocal harmonies, "Because the wind is high, it blows my mind." Jim Sturgess' take on the John Lennon's title track is excellent with its sense of spiritual exploration and longing, "Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my open mind, possessing and caressing me." Dana Fuchs Band blows away the under-appreciated "Don't Let Me Down" with a powerful emotional wallop. The deluxe version of the soundtrack takes great material from Lennon, McCartney & Harrison and produces one of the best celebrations of their work. Enjoy!

Great soundtrack for a great movie
I really loved this soundtrack! The only song not on the soundtrack that was on the movie was "I want You"(The Uncle Sam scene), but other than that it was definitely worth the money!
