You're Gonna Miss This

Throughout my life, my dad has told me I needed to slow down and enjoy the moments I was having instead of just rushing to the next one. I think from the time I was probably 8 years old this was something I heard often from him. Of course, I ignored his advice!

I grew up, got married, had two children very close in age, and had a full time career, and through all my complaining about how hard everything was, my dad said the same thing over and over..."enjoy this moment...you will look back on this and miss these days." Wow! Now those babies are teenagers and I have to say my dad was so right! I miss those days!

But, this song (and my dad), have proven that no matter what age you reach, you can take many mental snapshots of your life at any point and make great memories. Whether it's your children's teenage years, their college years, or when you become a grandparent, life goes on and life changes...we grow and we move on. These moments ARE YOUR LIFE! Remember them, embrace them and let them fill your heart with joy!

This song touched my soul and reminded me of everything my dad has taught me throughout my life. Thank you Trace for beautifully singing such a powerful song that has touched so many people.

I heard this song on Friday on my favorite soap opera and I just had to have it. I am not a country music fan but this song echoed my life so much as a mom of 5. It makes you appreciate the crazy times more. It's just a great song and he has a wonderful voice.

What's not to like about his song? LOVE IT!
No wonder it's been #1 for so long!

I am definitely not a country lover but believe it or not I heard him perform this song on the finale of Celebrity Apprentice and I loved it. From what I saw on the show he seems like a very sincere and outstanding guy. This song is great.
