The Point!

A conversation with co-workers lead me to thinking about the point and vaguely remembering a song I had heard years ago. So I went on the internet and Searched The Point and found This collection.
I listen to the cd often as it is so down to earth when it comes to realizing how much we are similar and different. Great lesson on how we need to embrace this, is key to human interaction.

I am so glad to share this story and its soundtrack with my daughter. The songs are still so vivid and so much fun to sing.

This is such an amazing soundtrack. I bought the soundtrack and the DVD for my husband to take a stroll down memory lane. We haven't watched the DVD but the CD is the entire story and fantastic music. It is as good today as it was when I first heard it 25+ years ago.

In 1971, (i was 12) I asked my mom and dad if I could stay up and watch this cartoon on the ABC movie of the week. They read about in their TV Guide and agreed quickly.

Listening to Dustin Hoffman narrate this story of a round headed boy named Obllo living in the land of Point, I was amazed. This little cartoon had a great story and wonderful music which captured my attention.

For weeks after I saw this TV movie, I hummed and sung most of the score. I assumed my mom, dad and younger brother were sick of hearing my voice singing "Me and My Arrow". So a few weeks after I saw the movie, I got an LP of this film (The same one as this CD). Under Harry Nilsson's narration, the soundtrack was just as wonderful as the TV movie was.

It is now years later, I bought a copy of the CD. It was just as wonderful as I rememember this simple story. The music is still fresh and alive.

It transcends age. I just shared this CD with my 13 year old cousin Jeremy who enjoyed it as much as I did when I was his age. After he heard this CD, When we had gotten home, he was humming "Me and My Arrow"

You could say this fairy tale like story is a simple lesson is being a human being with a life lesson of do not judge others. However, it was and is the music that draws you into this tale..and it is the music that makes this story a great family CD to listen to

This is one of those CD the whole family can listen to it and enjoy together
