Gives Flavor to Smooth Jazz
This L.P and "Letter from home" and "We live here" Are my Fav. P.M. Recordings to be sure. They have the classic P.M. Jazz Signature yet they are somehow more emotionally uplifting in an intelectual and international sense. This albums cuts will rise and surges then gently concide revealing a smart melodic jazzy melody. It's P.M. Clean, with moving in rhythms and voicing. The First cut (of this L.P.) is also to be found on an excellent concert DVD "We Live here" which I own as well as the Dvd "Speaking of Now" Which are both very good. Life Talking is like a collection of musical conversations that are so clean as to reflect a high-brow effect yet still remaining cozy and warm without being at all sappy or soft. There's 7 Cuts as outlined;
Minuano: is a dreamy tune at first that livens up in the middle.
So it May secretly begin: is the essence of smooth modern cocktail jazz.
Last train Home: has an americana feel to it.
It's Just Talk: has a carefree but sofistcated brazillian flair and voice that meet new york.
Third wind: hits the ground running with P.M. pick'in and grin'in like...California goes south of the border.
Distance: I'm drifting in a fusion jungle
In Her Family: Is like a meloncholly bed time story that pulls at your heart... like peter pan feeling depressed.

These are great smooth jazz cuts with definite moods attached to them, no questionable feelings here.
