Brandon Flowers' vocals glorify Sam's Town
Brandon Flowers's voice conveys more emotion than any of his other work, and the other band members do the same. Sam's Town is an experience and relates to me so much more than most other rock. I think the only reason sources reviewed the CD poorly was because of Rolling Stone. They thought the emotion and feeling was fake and cliche, probably because they didn't listen to the CD more than five minutes.

If they had, they would have found something deeper.

People baffle me...
Honestly this album is great, plain and simple. I love reading peoples reviews saying this album is terrible and the Killers are dead...Craziness, all of it. Just because Sam's Town sounds different from Hot Fuss doesn't mean it sucks. Cool your heads off people its ok. And brace yourself because their next album will be different too (oh no!!!) :) Killers are great because they have different angles and sounds. They try new things. I applaud.

Sam's Town - Where I Learned to Love the Killers
I basically saw the Killers live before I'd ever really known who they were on the radio. I recognized some of their big hits - Mr. Brightside & All These Things That I've Done - and said, "Oh, that's these guys". As I heard and got to know their other songs, somewhat more introspective and personal songs from Sam's Town, I thought, "this is a really good band" and decided to buy all their CD's (2). I've heard their new single, "Human" that's due to come out on their next album this Fall and I'm stoked. It sounds like a continuation of Sam's Town, even though it's a little club'ish, and I don't club nor dance. It's a great sound, 80's-esque but definitely their own. I hope their around together for a long time, and that they maintain their individuality. I'm shocked that Sam's Town is only $5.99 on Amazon MP3's. It's a worthwhile download. Not 1 bad tune on the whole album; even the intro and exitlude are catchy and worth listening to. Enjoy!

Excellent Work!
Featuring the smash hit "When You Were Young", this hook laden gem is a must have in any collection. Brandon Flowers has one of those easy to listen to voices. This is that CD you pull out when you can't decide what you feel like listening to. A fun ride through Sam's Town ... all the way through.
