Natasha's Rainbow
Natasha Bedingfield really knew what she was doing when she recorded a few years ago, These Words, and Unwritten. For her latest song though, it shows that can try to make a good song stand out, but it feels like it is flavor of the moment. Pocketful Of Sunshine, the title track and second single from her sophmore album feels a little more upbeat than the collaboration with Sean Ming on Love Like This, but it just doesn't unfortunately really feel like it has stood out to being definitive from Natasha and her unique lyrical style. I like the beat of the song, but I was hoping from a bit more soul into the lyrics. Hopefully, when she comes out with her next single, it will sound much better tahn just a pocketful of the moment.

POP JUNK
This is the worst piece of pop junk I have ever heard. Not worth the plastic it is made from. And what kind of title is Pocketful Of Sunshine anyway? What, are we in junior high school? I'm sure the kiddies there think it's great. Give me grown up music. 2008-06-18

Little Miss Sunshine
Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine" is pretty much standard,feel-good fare. It sounds like an opening theme for a TV show. One can imagine it playing in the background for a TV show such as ABC's "Private Practice", where Dr. Addison frolics on the Southern California beaches. "Pocketful of Sunshine" succeeds because it's only Natasha and a backup singer. It's not highly synthesized. There isn't any Sean Kingston doing pretentious rap. The chorus is the song's high point, when Natasha belts out "Take me away/to the sweet escape." Glorious escapist summer fun. If you can't afford going to the beach, this song is like sitting on the warm sand, listening to the waves. 2008-06-16

Great Song! Great Voice!
I've listened to this music over and over and haven't gotten tired of it. It's one of the most uplifting songs I've heard in awhile. 2008-05-23
