Underrated Album
This is a great Indie rock album. Glad a I bought it regardless of mediocre reviews. Great buy. 2008-12-02

Hopefully the next release is better...
I am a huge fan of Trapt, especially of "Someone In Control". That album, in my opinion was much better than their first release both lyrically and musically. I assumed that their new release would be a further evolution of both of those but unfortunately they're not. Most of the songs have flat meaningless lyrics and musically they decided to leave the guitars in their cases. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and release a solid album next time around. 2008-11-25

Better Than Ever!
I can't get enough of this Trapt CD. If you liked their earlier stuff like Stories, Echo, and Made of Glass you'll love this CD. I use to love Trapt so much and then they went with a harder sound and I just lost interest in them. After hearing Who's Going Home With You Tonight on the radio and loving it I decided to give their newest CD a chance. I am so glad I did! This CD is all the best of their sound without the too hard edge. I think this is the perfect sound for them. I honestly love all of the songs but I particularly like Black Rose, Only One in Color, and The Last Tear. 2008-11-16

Same band, different sound.
I was so excited that Trapt was coming out with a new album full of new material. Their Live album was just an appetizer of what I thought would be a great album. (The 2 new songs on the Live album I loved.) Listening to Only Through The Pain I was pretty disappointed. A couple of the songs were heartfelt ballads which I expected but gone were the hard rock that gets the blood pumping that I came to expect from this band. They have gone the road of mainstream and seem to be trying to appeal to the masses instead of being true to who they really are or used to be. Gave it 3 stars on the hopes that as I listen to it more and more it will grow on me. 2008-10-04
