Legend

You all know the deal. It's the legend, a Bob Marley classic. If you don't own this album, I really don't know what to say, other than it's a must own and should be in your collection. All of Bob Marleys albums are worth owning, but if your new to Bob, then this cd will help you get into his music, as Legend is a great starting point. Peep the songs "Is This Love", "No Woman No Cry", "I Shot The Sheriff", and " Jamming". These are all great songs, and they showcase Bob Marleys many creative sides. Purchase, and enjoy the Legend of Bob Marley.

This brotha' along with the likes of "Curtis Mayfield, and Gil Scot Heron" is one of the most politically gifted music artist of our time. He sung and spoke with such passion in his music far as the injustices of the world went. He sung of equality and peace amongst everyone. This best of compilation is definitely worth having, even if you are not a reggae fan of music. The songs on here will touch your spirit in ways imaginable. Bob Marley was a true genuis in his own right.

This is a huge warning to all Bob Marley fans in Europe!!!!!!

There is a big mistake on this Legend Deluxe release!!! I guess someone has been sleeping / or didnt do his job well.... cause, One Love (Extended Version) and One Love (Dub) are the same!
They added 2 times the extended version istead of the great very rare 1984 Dub version! This One Love Dub is missing! What a huge mistake, and a big big big big shame!
Only in Europe, cause I do own the US release which does the right tracklisting! So including the One Love dub version! Thank god! Lucky me the US version is different and right!

So be carefull purchasing the European EU version, with the glossy look and feel!
Go for the US version with normal mat paper hardcover... which includes both One Love tracks >> Extended & DUB !!!!!!

I have contacted Universal about this problem, and they will give attention to it... but it can be take for year before all these wrong cd's has been out of stock!

I am sad, but the US version I will give definatly 5 stars! Just for the 1984 remixes cd 2!!!!

Good Vibes

Don't get me wrong, the music is first rate and deserves 5 stars. The remixes are a nice addition minus the disco version of Buffalo Soldier. I and I like the added drums on No Woman no Cry. One problem with my cd though : the two one love on cd two are the same version. A shame !

Chances are, if you have heard a Bob Marley and the Wailers cd playing it is probably Legend. This set is a nice casual introduction to the band that started the worldwide reggae movement. it was released in 1984 3 years after Bob Marley died, and includes many hits that you are probably familiar with. Songs from all the albums are not included here which is the only downfall of this disc. The booklet that comes with the cd is a good way to learn about this legendary man and his band the Wailers. The Wailers are one of the most talented groups of musicians ever, and the instrumentation and variety on this disc proves it.
The second disc is all remixes, and it is interesting to see what others could have done if they were studio engineers for the band. If you are not a big Wailers fan but rather a first time listener, get the single disc edition. If you are looming for a little variety and some interesting mixes, this set is for you.
