Genius Loves Company

We all love the music and the man. I feel there was a bit to much "pop" influence though. To modern a twist on such greats. As far as the sound? This is a diffrent story indeed. This disc has many BUT, not one will deture from the performence itself. They are akin to the scraches in fine lether. I highly recomend this piece for many reasons. I was lucky and grew up when Ray Charles went through all his trials and tribulations. This recording with some of his genius friends is a wonderful collection of Ray's songs but with a SACD twist. SACD makes this just like you are sitting in a café listening to Ray and watch him move his head from side to side. Showman? He was among the top and it will take a whole lot to topple him.

What else is there to say? If you don't own this you are really missing out. Pure bliss!

I compare the CD and SACD, and found that SACD sounds a bit better than the CD in stereo. The songs are good also, with many companion of other singer bring nice atmosphere

The songs are poor, the recording quality is worse. For some reason no one can duplicate the sacd multichannel quality in Dire Straits or Allison Krause.
