Great collection
This is the first installment of the BEACH HOUSE series from Hed Kandi. House music with a latin beat. Put it in the CD player and you're transported to a hot balmy place. Maybe on the beach, just chilling out. The music is good to chill out to, but it also has a beat so you can dance too. A great cd to listen to and just get taken away with.

Exceptional
I was first introduced to Hed Kandi through my brother, with the song 'Cried me a River' by Jersey St, and since then have been forever changed. This album is the epitome of chill-out, sundrenched, summer listening. Upon closing the eyes, the listener is immediately teleported to white sandy beaches & clear blue water... paradise.

Disc 1 could not have a better start with Blue 6's laid back 'Music & Wine'. It progresses nicely with more beat infused tracks. I actually prefer the version of 'Tsunami' on Serve Chilled 2, but this is better suited for the early part of the day. 'Just Right' by Nightsource is beyond belief and 'Bliss' by Mutiny is aptly named. And these are only a selected few, the others are equally good.

I never thought it possible, but Disc 2 turned out to be even better than the first, and in my opinion is better for the latter part of the day, to wind down with. dZihan & Kamien's 'After' is perfect to be listening to while cruising along the coast at sunset (i was fortunate enough to have the cd with me when i was doing just that). The last song, 'El Torro' seems to be an ideal late evening song you would hear at some hip club/lounge and is also one of my favourites.

All in all, anyone that likes house, or wishes to have the feeling of being at the beach (should you be unfortunate enough not be there already) should consider purchasing this stellar album. These are only a few of numerous reasons.

I have some of the other Beach House albums, but this is by far my favourite, a most arcane experience for me.

It's Deep House, not Techno!
Okay okay so you're not going to be able to put this on at a party and have everybody bumpin'. But would you put on Mark Farina or Deep Dish and expect any different? Fact of the matter is, this is a tight compilation and by far my favourite of the Naked Music/Hedkandi comps out there. (I have Midnight Snack, Serve Chilled, other Beach House albums, and more) It's true that the tracks aren't mixed which is a little disconcerting but I can't complain. These are tracks that get into your head and never leave, like Blue 6's Music and Wine or Clan Greco's Rotation. They're cool, they're laid back, they're fun, they're definitely deep. Beautiful anywhere, not just on the beach!

solid solid solid!...
You don't need a beach to listen to music this good. Some WONDERFUL tracks on this cd! Some mixes you may not find in other places include Lovetronic's 'you are love', 'after' from dZihan & Kamien, 'that feelin' from The Rurals.....seriously folks, this cd is deep house with deep fun written all over it, buy it now!!

It's Okay, but this is LIGHT stuff
I've got all the Hed Kandi Disco Kandi compilations, as well as Disco Heaven and the other beach house.

Perhaps a more appropriate term for (roughly speaking) these discs is "background house"; this isn't stuff that's gonna fill the dance floor, but rather VERY unobtrusive, frequently Latin-tinged house lite that sounds good poolside.

If you're looking for kickin' disco house jams for danceability, you should pretty much avoid the Beach House comps, although the other one has a couple of killer Latin-sounding, percussion-heavy tracks.

Just a friendly warning...
