Almost Perfect Bootsy Compilation!!
This is a very good collection of Bootsy's funk classics! The CD is mastered for crisp sound, and the booklet is a pleasure to read. I won't go into a track by track analysis of the CD, but it's missing 2 songs that would put it OVER THE TOP!!! I'm referring to the CLASSICS 'What's A Telephone Bill ?' & 'Munchies For Your Love'!!! All in all, this CD is the perfect introduction to Bootsy Collins, a true funkateer! Serious collectors may want to add the 2 songs I mentioned. (4.5 stars...easily!)

Solid funk collection.
It doesn't get too much better than this far as Bootsy Collin's music is concerned. There are some pretty nice funky tunes on here from his 70's collection. You still might want to go and cop his first three solo albums on cd, but this one is definitely worth getting.

FUNKALICIOUS!!!!
I usually don't recommend compliations, but no record collection should be complete without this.
Why?
The last track just may be the most exciting live performance recorded.

Something interesting to note...
I think it's interesting that he does duets with Snoop(Dogg): "No Thang On Me", "Can I Get A Flicc Witchu" AND also with TobyMac(from DC Talk): "Diverse City."

It's interesting because while Snoop is rap and TobyMac is Rock/Rap, they are on the opposite sides of the hip/hop spectrum, lyrically, that is.
